Easy Post and AI processing

Extract sends the text or document images through Lovable AI to Google for reading. ZOTO does not save the original upload. Only details you review and submit are saved to your post. AI providers process inputs under their own policies. You can cover names, booking references and barcodes before uploading.

Public links may be read through Firecrawl, then their text sent to Lovable AI. We import a snapshot; check the original website for later changes. Private or login-only pages cannot be imported.

AI may make mistakes. Review and edit the result before submitting. Manual entry is always available. Extracting details does not publish a post; job and business listings still need approval. Source images are not published as posters. Event bookings and later updates stay with the organiser.

AI safety checks and moderation

11.4 New job, event and business listing submissions and proposed edits may be checked through Lovable AI and Google to assist administrators. The check uses the listing details intended for publication, including supplied application or business contacts, and records a recommendation for that version. It does not automatically approve, reject or hide the listing. An administrator decides whether to publish. This listing-review feature does not read private chats, account profiles or Directory photo files.

11.5 Notice published 8 September 2026: additional AI-assisted moderation is planned to start no earlier than 24 September 2026. Housing posts and edits may be checked using their published text and listing details, excluding photos and account profiles. Housing posting and editing remain immediate. New Flight Buddy group messages may be checked automatically. Private referral, Housing and direct chats are checked only when a participant reports a specific message; the check is limited to that message and up to two preceding messages from the same chat within 30 minutes. A whole-chat report without a selected message remains for human review. Existing chat history is not scanned in bulk.

11.6 These additional checks use Lovable AI and Google and give administrators version-specific recommendations. They may make mistakes; a human decides any moderation action. AI does not automatically hide messages or listings, suspend accounts or publish content. If the AI service is unavailable, chat and Housing continue normally and checks may retry. ZOTO stores references, version hashes, bounded recommendations and review history rather than a separate raw-message archive. Reports and message retention continue under the existing retention rules. You can report content or contact hello@zoto.ie to ask for a review of a moderation decision.

Reports go to our team. A private-message report may include the selected message and up to two earlier messages from the same chat within 30 minutes. A whole-chat report stays with human review.

Who can see your profile and posts

You and ZOTO admins can see your full account profile. Other members see selected details in the contexts below.

Chat participants can see your name, photo, city, nationality and work or study details. In referral chats, participants can also see your account email, WhatsApp and Instagram.

With an unexpired “Looking for a room” listing, members can see your name, photo, age, gender, nationality, work or study details and Instagram on your seeker card. Your exact date of birth is not shown on that card.

Public share pages show listing descriptions and selected details; Housing share pages can also show photos. Separate job and business contact fields are excluded from these pages. Any contact details you write into a public description remain visible.

Business listing photos

Resized JPEGs are stored for your listing: you and admins can view pending photos; members can view approved, open listings. Photos are not sent to AI or included on public share pages. Anyone with a copied photo link can view it for up to 5 minutes. Unused-photo cleanup can take time.

Referral resumes

PDF resumes are stored privately for the request. While waiting, members who list the company as their employer can open the PDF; after acceptance, only you and the accepting employee can. Withdrawal stops new PDF links; existing links expire within one minute. You can delete PDFs after withdrawal or completion.

For a resume link, access is controlled by the site hosting your resume. Check its sharing permissions.

Flight Buddy and community safety

Flight details are self-reported. ZOTO does not verify flight bookings or identities — please use your own judgement when meeting anyone.
